This policy explains what information Teslzaaddons ("we", "us") collects when you visit this website or buy from us, why, and what you can do about it. Teslzaaddons is a small business that ships from Albany, NY, USA. We wrote this in plain language. It is not legal advice.

What we collect when you order

At checkout we ask for your name, email address, shipping address (street, apartment, city, state, ZIP), and optionally a phone number. We save this with your order: the items, color, quantity, total, order number, date, payment status, the PayPal transaction ID and, once shipped, the tracking number. We use it to fill and ship your order, send you shipping updates, answer questions, and keep business and tax records.

Payments (PayPal)

Payments are handled by PayPal. When you click "Pay with PayPal", you leave our site and pay on PayPal's website. We never see or store your card or bank details. We send PayPal the order number, item description and amount. PayPal tells us whether the payment completed and gives us a transaction ID. PayPal's use of your information is covered by the PayPal privacy statement.

Emails and text alerts

When an order is placed or paid, our server sends a short alert to the store owner's phone. It contains the item and the time of the order, not your name or address. When your order ships, we email you your order number and tracking number. Copies of these messages are kept in the store's admin log. We do not send marketing emails and we do not sell or rent your information.

Cookies

• Session cookie (PHPSESSID): keeps your cart and checkout working. It is deleted when you close your browser.
• Visitor counter cookie (tz_sid): a random ID, kept for up to 1 year, so our own visitor counter can tell repeat visits from new ones.
• Google Analytics cookies: see below.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (property G-Q8MHFBYYJC) to see how many people visit and which pages they view. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and Google receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit. Google processes this under its own privacy policy. You can block these cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Our own visitor counter and location lookup

Besides Google Analytics, the store keeps its own simple visitor statistics. When you view a page, we record the time, the page address, the visitor-counter cookie ID, and a one-way hashed (scrambled) version of your IP address. Your actual IP address is not saved in our database. To show the store owner a rough map of where visitors come from, your IP address is sent once to the free lookup service ip-api.com, which returns an approximate country, city and city-level map coordinates. We save that approximate location with the visit. We also count product page views per hashed IP address. Search engine bots and the store owner's own visits are not counted.

Other services this site loads

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the fonts download. Our website host stores standard server logs (such as IP address, page and time) for security and troubleshooting.

Security

The site uses HTTPS. The order database is stored on our web host in a folder that cannot be reached from the web, and only the store owner can sign in to see orders. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can see it.

How long we keep information

We keep order records (including shipped orders) for as long as we need them for customer service, warranty questions, and business and tax records. Visitor statistics and the email log are kept until we clear them. We do not currently delete either automatically. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below). We may still need to keep some order details where the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email orders@teslzaaddons.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live (for example California or another US state with a privacy law), you may have extra rights. We will honor them. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The cart needs the session cookie to work.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
